Situation
This undergraduate thesis proposal investigates the public/private relationship in a stitch of the urban fabric, in this case, New York's Lower East Side. The project articulates this relationship at the scale of the city/site/street as well as of the building itself. The play of light and darkness, opacity and transparency, is a tool in creating these buildings.
